I start with a couple of nights at Santa Teresa which is a beautiful hippie town with a bunch of cute cafes and trendy restaurants, and then at this amazing place by Playa Hermosa called Lua Villas (link) which has the most beautiful beach and is perfect for easy fun surfing!
The waterfall in Montezuma is incredible. It’s quite a hike though so make sure you have comfortable shoes that are water worthy! Costa Rica also has the best zip lining in the world, so that’s a must!! Also go horse-riding on the beach which is probably the best place I have ever been, especially during Sunset!
Probiotics, Echinacea and vitamin C! I also make sure I have a lot of vitamin B to avoid getting bitten by the mosquitoes! And I bring a lot of mosquito spray!
What’s the first thing you pack?
Bikinis and sunnies!
Waking up to hear the ocean, taking a quick swim in the pool and then heading to the beach for a morning surf. After surfing it’s time to head to one of the cute breakfast places in Santa Teresa (the best way to get around is on a four-wheeler, or there is a taxi service called Montezuma Adventures who are great!). After breakfast, it’s time to head out to check out other beaches or head off on an adventure! After that it’s time to go home and freshen up before heading out to the coolest beach bar, Ranchos Itauna (link) for dinner and a beach dance party. The owner is an Austrian guy and he literally brought Deep House to Costa Rica. At night time this is definitely the place to hang…Great music and a lot of good looking people!
Playa Secreta Mal Pais!! (link) where there are hardly any people on this beach. This beach is also renowned as one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world!! I also love playa Hermosa and Playa Carmen which are a lot more easily accessible!
Extra bikinis, sunblock, mosquito spray, water, beach towel, a trail mix and some fresh fruit!
During your trip what was your Perfect Moment?
It has to be the morning surf at Playa Hermosa!!
Where on the map are you planning your next trip?
I am heading to Greece in 4 weeks and then Italy which I am really excited about!
