St. Moritz, Switzerland

The sunniest ski resort, St. Moritz, is a year-round option for skiers. Home to snow-covered peaks, mineral springs, and a beautiful lake, it’s a must-visit for adventure seekers and the inspiration for our latest collection. Here’s our guide…

WHERE TO STAY

Nestled in the Engadin valley, Badrutt’s Palace is a five star resort with old school charm (the building dates back to 1896). The fairytale-esque building features panoramic views of the Alps, has six restaurants, a subterranean spa and in winter, its own ice rink.

If you’re looking for something a little less chocolate-box, without sacrificing on elegance, the Kulm Hotel is another classic spot. The rooms offer a modern take on typically Swiss interior design, using local stone and pine. Stop by the lobby after a long day on the slopes, for a cocktail overlooking the lake, then try the Luke Edward Hall-designed Amaru restaurant, for delicious Peruvian cuisine from chef Claudia Canessa.

WHAT TO EAT (AND APRÉS)

Although you could easily dine out without actually having to leave your hotel, no Switzerland ski trip is complete without indulging in the local delicacies, AKA fondue. La Stalla is a staple thanks to its quintessentially alpine aesthetic. We usually favour the classic ‘fondue St Moritz’ but if you’re feeling especially indulgent, there’s a truffle and champagne version too.

If you have a sweet tooth, then make time to stop by Hanselmann, now 125 years old, it’s a local institution, known for its incredible pastries. We recommend rewarding yourself with one after an afternoon of skiing, and pairing with a hot chocolate – you’re on holiday, after all.

WHAT TO DO

St. Moritz was home to the Winter Olympics for a reason. The Corviglia offers 155km of perfect pistes to ride in your preferred way, with red, blue and black slopes. The Paradiso slope is the world’s first ‘yoga piste’, offering snow yoga with jaw-dropping views.

Fancy a change from skiing? Give curling a try. The Chesa al Parc natural ice rink offers sessions with an instructor in beautiful surroundings – an excellent alternative choice, especially if you’re with friends or family.

If you time your trip right, you might catch The I.C.E., a one-off calendar event that brings the very-best in motorsports onto Lake St. Moritz, as classic, rare and truly outrageous cars take to the ‘open-air playground’.

WHAT TO WEAR

Make a statement with our new burgundy collection—a rich, warm hue that’s as stylish as it is sophisticated. Perfect for both the slopes and the après scene, burgundy pairs beautifully with classic black or crisp white accents to ensure an elegant look in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
